I was just staying here for 2 nights, on the way back to Germany after
volunteer work in Santa Cruz for a year. It was probably the best way to
finish that year, one of the best hostels I'ver ever stayed in, clean,
friendly and nice, no very, very nice people and staff! Made it feel like
kind of a home, exactly what I was looking for to have a great stop in Potosi
before going back home!

nice and clean hostel, with good accomodations

I stayed in this hostel in Feb 2006 and found my stay a pleasant experience overall. The place is clean, staff are friendly. It's right
on Potosi city centre, so transport is no problem at all.
So , I'd say La Casona is recommendable to a certain extent.

Location is not bad (it is perfect) - near restaurants/bars and transport. Staff here are super cool as with the music they play in the reception/tv area.
It is also an unusually quite hostel for such a big city.

If you are travelling alone,it is a great place to meet people. The bar is a great starting off point if you are out on the town for the night. The staff are more than accomodating, the will point you in the right direction of decent night life and they will even help you find a cool place to stay for your next port of call.It is near enough most places with the
central location. If you dont enjoy your visit....there must be something wrong with you.

Stayed in this excellent hostel march this year. was spotlessly clean and had a good- if slightly too chilled out- atmosphere. Nice big friendly common area with a microwave, toaster and cutlery- they do the washing up for you! security was good- there are no lockers but all the doors are auto-lock ones. brilliant location 100m from a main
plaza and close to everywhere in the centre!

This has to be one of the best hostels in South America (and by far in Bolivia). The location is very central (just
100m from main plaza 10 de noviembre) and the rooms were very colonial
style and clean. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. They have a common area as well which is a good place to meet people. I would also recommend the walking tour that the hostel does - it was a really good way to find out about the history of
the silver mine of Potosi.

Without any doubt this is the best hostel in Bolivia that I have discovered. I stayed here for 2 nights. The place is well priced, has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered and is spotlessly clean. It is well organised and decorated and has a fantastic atmosphere. I'd challenge anyone to find somewhere in
Potosi which offers the value for money that this place does. I would say it is better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in.
